RTDT Joins the IEC TC 88 Committee: A Significant Milestone for Wind Energy

We are excited to announce that RTDT has been recently inducted into the IEC Technical Committee 88 (TC 88). This is a significant milestone that not only validates the value of RTDT's contributions but also presents a unique opportunity to advance the science of Wind Farm Operations and Maintenance and Performance Optimization.

The IEC TC 88 is a global standardization committee that focuses on wind energy generation systems, including wind turbines, wind power plants (both onshore and offshore), and their interaction with the electrical systems to which energy is supplied. This committee develops international standards that address site suitability, design requirements, engineering integrity, modeling, measurement techniques, test procedures, and operation and maintenance.

The induction of RTDT into the IEC TC 88 committee signifies a leap forward in the integration of Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) Physics-Assisted Artificial Intelligence (AI) into wind energy operations and maintenance.
